The MX2-air takes the technology of the MX-air with a few tweaks added. The pattern is considerably widened at the cost of some frontal gain of course (don’t let anyone tell you that you can have both). The result is a range at 90deg. bore-sight that is nearly quadrupled. Circularity in those area is also considerably cleaner. This make it the widest flight beam directional antenna available for FPV. Unlike the MX-air, this antenna is not hemispheric and thus cannot be used as an omni when pointed upward. Use it vertically so the widest part of the beam is horizontal.
*Coverage where reception is at least equivalent to an omni.
**Coverage where at least 70% of the max range is obtained.
