This is the latest production batch with the upgraded Japanese NMB bearing and now an added grub screw to secure the press-fit shaft position on impacts. This motor really has one purpose - to run the most challenging miniquad props on 4S and hit the rpm that 2204 and 2206 class motors simply can't reach. In the past this referred to the HQ 6x4.5 prop but we've also measured a good differential on the HQ 5x4.5 as well. They'll provide 1kg of thrust with a 6x4.5 prop on 4S and 22A of currrent draw. With the 5x4.5 you'll get 900g of thrust at ~21A of current. We recommend the Rotorgeeks RG20 ESC.
Rotorgeeks exclusive - we have supplemented the hardware kit with the good stuff - now includes four M3x5 hex head motor mounting screws (in addtition to the standard Philips head screws) and one each of standard nut and locknut. The standard nut is great for regular rotation as it's easier to remove. The locknuts are only required for the reverse rotating props. As usual, any customers who have previously purchased can request these bonus parts for free with your next order.
Something to consider if you're looking at this motor. As a 'large' 2000kv motor it has a relatively easy time with most 5" and 6" props. In most cases there is no additional thrust when compared to the the Cobra 2204 1960kv motor (and no efficiency gain either). The only time the benefit of this larger motor comes into play is with the 6x4.5 and the newer 5x4.5 prop from HQ. If you don't plan on using those props, you'll probably have your needs met by the smaller, lighter 2204 model. The weight savings of the smaller motor will also increase agility and crash survival.
Weight is 40g (vs 26 for 2204) = extra 56g for a quad, 85g for hex
Canadian customers - please note that any motor requires shipping via Expedited Parcel. There's a bug in the shipping system that doesn't pull this up automatically. If you see "Canada Post lettermail" as an option you'll need to choose the other, more expensive option that corresponds to your province to get Expedited Parcel service. Sorry about that!
