Rotorgeeks Build notes on using FrSKY SBUS receivers (XSR, R-XSR, X4R-SB)

  • SBUS receiver is UART1 on the Ports page - enable Serial RX, save and set serial based receiver and SBUS on the configuration page
  • FrSKY telemetry should be connected to the pad marked TELE which corresponds to UART3 - set it to Smart Port on the Ports page
  • After enabling telemetry on the configuration page, use this CLI command to make Smart Port telemetry work
    set tlm_halfduplex= off
    save
  • Use TX4 for Smart Audio (if using a compatible vtx)
  • The jumpers labelled INT and EXT are for selecting an internal or external current sensor (normall INT)
  • Solder the main battery lead first to avoid issues with floating your other connections if it's done at the end
  • If you use a buzzer, use the CLI command set beeper_frequency = 0 and save
  • After the board is fully soldered, check continuity between all 4 motor signals and battery + and -
    Do not apply battery power if you have continuity between any of these connections
